A lot of people are unable to control their anger when they are drunk. So what about you? Do you find it difficult to control your anger when you are under the influence of alcohol? If you have answered “yes” to this question then this article may well be of interest to you.

I am not personally involved with anger management as a career, I actually offer people help to gain lower business overheads and work with a number of cost reduction experts.

Only this morning did I read about how when under the influence of alcohol two men killed another man. They had become involved with an altercation with another man and one of the men then decided to punch him. He fell to the floor at which point the second man then kicked him in the head. It is thought that it was his head hitting the pavement that caused him to die however the two men were still sent to jail.

Three men and their family and friends have had their lives ruined - basically due to the over consumption of alcohol. I seriously doubt whether they would have acted in this way had they been sober not that this in anyway should be a defence.

Both men have stated how sorry they are and about how guilty they feel; I for one feel sorry for them both as they will have to live with what they have done for the rest of their lives plus they will spend a number of their best years behind bars. Then there is the families of these two men - they too will have been badly affected by the whole ordeal.

There is also the person who has tragically died, such a waste of a precious life. I also of course feel very sorry for this person, his family and friends. It really is a tragedy.

I have actually completely stopped drinking alcohol, something that when I was younger helped me to speak in a fluent manner. I had a stutter for eighteen years of my life and alcohol enabled me to gain the confidence to talk without the fear of stuttering.

I have now managed to overcome the stutter and with the help of a DVD authoring company have produced a seventy minute DVD which describes my journey to fluency along with the techniques required to stop stuttering.

For people who do become aggressive when they drink alcohol, please learn the lessons from above before you also ruin the lives of yourself, your family and innocent bystanders.

If you have come to a point where you are tired of where you are i.e you feel the need to start all over again then words of encouragement and motivation from a sincere heart can help you make the right decision.

There are a variety of reasons why you would need a fresh start. Let me list a few, which you most probably can identify with.

1.    Losing someone special: There are also different losses in this category. For instance, death can come between two people who love each other. A friend of mine lost his fiancée in December 2007 and up until now her pictures still take up most of the space in his phone. He still cries sometimes especially on some occasions that reminds him of her.

It is possible that you also feel the same way. If it is so then you need to really believe that you can and it okay to move on. Do not feel like you are neglecting her memory or simply forgetting about him or her. Take the memories with you and they will keep you strong.

2.    Starting a new job: Just find some free encouragement cards to use as they are a must have for someone in a new office. My first day at work isn’t a very good memory to me either. The one thing I remember about it is how nervous I was. However, you need to be patient and give yourself some time. You need to be more patient with yourself. It will only be a matter of time before you become your own self again.

3.    New Area: if you have just moved into a new country I can only imagine how difficult it is for you. The best way to get over being home sick or lonely is to try and find good things to excite you and laugh about. You can go to the movies or simply look for free encouraging words online. Either way, you will forget about where you are for a moment and by the time you come back to reality you will be too strong to be depressed.

For more than a few years alcoholism research has demonstrated the fact that there is strong association between alcohol addiction and dangerous health conditions.

As an illustration, in 2005, scientific exploration and alcohol abuse and alcoholism statistics demonstrated the fact that that alcohol abuse and alcohol addiction cost the United States an estimated $220 billion on an annual basis. It can be stressed that this immense alcohol-related cost was significantly more than the cost associated with cancer ($196 billion) or with obesity ($133 billion). While it is pertinent to put emphasis on these facts, it is also important to point to the fact that an interrelationship exists between all three of these health conditions.

More specifically, chronic alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency are also highly interrelated with obesity and with cancer.

Certainly, substance abuse exploration has shown that alcoholism can augment the risk for different kinds of cancer, especially cancer of the colon, voice box (larynx), liver, rectum, throat, kidneys, and the esophagus. Abusive and recurring drinking can also lead to immune system problems and injury to the fetus during pregnancy.

Heavy and Hazardous Drinking Enfeebles the Drinker’s Organs and Systems

Additionally, if alcoholism continues over a period of years, the person’s body organs will probably be affected in an unsafe manner. For example, long-term, abusive drinking is particularly dangerous to the liver due to the fact that the liver does most of the work of processing the alcohol that has been ingested. Excessive amounts of alcohol kills liver cells and obliterates the ability of liver cells to reproduce. This condition leads to a progressive inflammatory injury to the liver that can eventually lead to cirrhosis of the liver, a serious and possibly incurable medical problem.Excessive, long-term drinking not only can result in serious liver damage, but it can also lead to damage to the heart and to the brain. Physical damage this severe may be unalterable and may, in turn, result in severe illness or an untimely death.

The Critical Nature of Alcohol Rehab

It is important, then, to know how to identify the various alcoholism symptoms and the “alcohol signs” so that the alcohol dependent person can be given the opportunity to get the quality alcohol treatment he or she requires.

Alcoholism and Technologically Advanced Brain Research

Fortuitously, scientific research is constantly generating original and important information. Recent alcoholism exploration offers a good illustration. Stated differently, for roughly the last ten years, sophisticated brain-imaging scanning instruments have verified that continuous and recurring abusive drinking changes the structure of the brain to a significant extent, thusly resulting in brain disease that can last months, years, or perhaps as long as the individual exists.

More to the point, medical examination has revealed that individuals who have been drinking excessively for an extensive length of time increase their risk for developing long-term and substantial alterations in the brain.

This type of damage may be indirectly associated with the drinker’s poor overall health or directly related to the alcohol’s effects on the brain or to severe liver disease.

Malnutrition, Excessive Drinking, and Mental Disorders

As a final example of different health problems that are significantly related to alcohol addiction, take into consideration the fact that in accordance with scientific examination, the abusive and repeated abuse of alcohol can result in erosive gastritis, a medical condition that lessens the absorption of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.

This form of organ breakdown is associated with malnutrition and to a variety of severe neurological and mental disorders including sleep disturbances, memory loss, and psychosis such as Wernicke’s Encephalopathy and Korsakoff’s syndrome. This latter health problem is an enduring debilitating health problem that is epitomized by persistent learning and memory difficulties.

Conclusion

It is clear that continued, excessive drinking is directly or indirectly linked to numerous acute medical conditions that can and do result in dangerous diseases and premature death. Such information needs to be highlighted and presented to everyone in our society so that a large number of people will be able to refrain from irresponsible drinking while other individuals who have a drinking problem will get the quality rehabilitation they require.

There are some great memory improvement techniques you can learn. Techniques that will help in turning numbers into words, memorizing names and remembering shopping lists. Let’s discuss how to memorize a list of grocery items. We will use 4 items only but you will see the size of the list does not matter.

What we do in memory techniques is to take something we already know and associate it with something we want to remember. So we connect the 2 together or link them together. We can use what is called the “Roman Room” to link items together so we can bring them up in our mind later on.

The reason this works is because there are certain things you will not forget. You know where you live. You know how your house looks and what rooms there are. Assume that you are going to buy the following items from the store:

Bananas

Soap

Bread

Paper Towels

Pick any room in your house or apartment. Now we associate the items in the list with something in the room you will choose. Imagine you walk into your living room and this is what you see:

Book Shelf

Table

TV

Couch

These are the first 4 things you see in sequence when you enter your living room. Take each item you want to remember on your shopping list and place them with one of the items in your living room or replace the item in your room with one from the list.

This is what you might see in your mind:

You walk into your living room and Bananas are shooting out of your Book Shelf. Some Bananas fall onto your Table and are skating on top of Soap. A bar of Soap slides off the Table and goes toward the TV, but the TV is not there. Instead there is a giant loaf of Bread. The giant Bread eats the Soap but throws it up all over your Couch. Out of your Couch come arms and they are holding Paper Towels and it starts to clean the mess on itself with the Paper Towels.

There are many concepts that people use for memory improvement. There are many methods to choose from, but there is one that has been here since the test of time.  The Loci method is so ancient that orators of the Greek and Roman countries used it for memorizing speeches and lists that were lengthy.

The word loci means location or place.  So to use the Loci method requires you to remember places or locations.  You would have to picture them in your head.  It could be anywhere and it doesn’t have to be somewhere that you are familiar with.

The Loci method is one of the mnemonic systems that is used for memory improvement.  A mnemonic system is one that helps to improve the memory.  When using this method, you can look at a park, house, backyard, kitchen, or anything that will help you to remember.

The Loci method works better when you have more than one thing that you need to implement for memory improvement.  You should familiarize yourself with that place or location that you need to remember.

So if you need to remember a house, you may look at grass that surrounds the house.  You may also look at the roof and if there is a gate, you can look at that also.  In order to implement memory improvement techniques with the house, you would think about the grass that needs to be maintained and the roof that should remain sturdy.

Or, if you feel the grass needs to be cut, you will get the lawn mower and cut it.  You don’t want to have grass that is growing as tall as weeds. If you want, you can look at the garbage can and connect that to the house.

You want to know that the house is still there, so associating grass, the roof and the garbage can are ways that you can do that.  You know that they will always be there so you can’t miss their presence.  Plus, you know that you will have to take action on them at some point and time, so you have no choice but to keep them in the forefront of your mind.

Sometimes, using this mnemonic method can be strange, but as long as it effects memory improvement in a positive way, then you would definitely benefit from it.

There are people that strain and struggle to remember things on a daily basis. There could be a number of reasons for this. However, there are ways that you can get your brain trained for memory improvement.

There are certain things that each side of your brain is responsible for. For instance, the left side of your brain deals with numbers, words, logic, sequence, analysis and other components. The right side of your brain deals with color, dimension, imagination, rhythm and the big picture.

Both sides of the brain work to make these components come to life. In addition to that, there are other tactics that can also be used for memory improvement.

Memory improvement can help you to have unique connections between items that have no type of relationship with each other. It can help you to remember things in the correct order. You can enjoy some of the other methods in order to get your memory back to where it should be.

If you want to tell a story, you can learn to tell different stories that you will remember for a long time to come. Stories can send a message and help to create visions that will help with your memory improvement.

Using numbers is another way to bring out memory improvement. You can say the numbers in the correct sequence; you will be able to bring your memory back to full force. There’s nothing greater than to be able to count in the right way.

Once you get the techniques down pat, you will be able to remember so much that it will be overwhelming to you. However, you won’t forget because the techniques will be ingrained in your mind.

You will be able to remember lots of names from work, your neighborhood and around the way. You will also be able to remember certain meetings, dates and other scheduled events. Being able to remember them weeks and months ahead is very phenomenal.

With memory improvement techniques, you will no longer have to strain and struggle trying to remember this, that and the other. Struggling and straining to remember things can be frustrating and painful. Just think if you ran into someone that you had not seen in a few months. If you could not remember their name, you might be embarrassed.

So implementing some of these techniques for memory improvement would be to your advantage for your benefit. You won’t have to concern yourself with looking foolish when trying to remember things.

Memory Improvement Techniques

The brain is capable of interpreting and recalling 100% of information daily, yet most people use 10% or less of the mind on an average. Recently, researchers have discovered that the left and right side of the brain’s cortex works in complete harmony to gather information that has been learned in a single day and throughout that person’s lifetime.

This means we all have the ability to recall and remember things effectively by applying some memory improvement techniques.

Memory Improvement Techniques Explored

The first step to recalling and to improve your memory is to train the memory. Most people do not take time in their life to train the brain—rather it goes throughout their life without training. The first thing you need to do is understand how the brain works.

The left side of the brain helps you to form words, logic, numbers, sequences, linearity, analyze things and take full lists of information you gather. The right side of the brain enables you to produce rhythm, spatial alertness, discover the big picture, imagine things, daydream, and color and find dimensions.

With this ammunition in hand, it gives you power to train the mind in order to build the brains ability to recall and remember.

Next, you want to think about your brain as a whole. You have the unconscious mind, conscious mind, and the subliminal mind. What the conscious mind cannot handle due to lack of training the unconscious and subliminal mind tracks the information and stores it until you are triggered to recall. This means by finding associating photos, words, etc, you can remember what you learned effectively, since the brain looks for things that associate with what has been learned.

Thus, the best memory improvement techniques anyone can provide you are to make those connections with what you know and have learned.
